DCC062 – Downey Custom Cue – DCC062

The amboyna forearm of this cue is only the beginning. And what a beginning it is! Ivory is used for the six alternating points: three long and three short. Each point is outlined with three veneers: blue, white, blue. Inlays of three blue abalone dots and one blue abalone diamond grace each point. To follow the beautiful beginning, take your view to the amboyna butt sleeve. Six ivory windows are set into the butt sleeve, and each window is outlined with blue, white and blue veneers. In each window there are six blue abalone dots and one blue abalone diamond. There are a total of 66 inlays in this cue: 24 in the forearm and 42 in the butt sleeve. The butt plate is made of a 3/8" ivory ring capped with a 1/2" black phenolic butt plate. The joint is ivory encased by rings of German nickel silver and ivory. There are twelve windows in the joint rings. The wrap is smooth black leather.

This handcrafted Downey Custom Cue features a 13mm shaft diameter with a 12-1/2" taper. The joint is flat-faced and wood-to-wood using a 3/8" radial™ brass pin into wood. The brass pin provides a better feel and a better hit. The cue measures 58" long and is available in 18-21 oz.
